If you would like to make money selling e-books, you must first
create yourself an e-book. After your e-book has been created,
you will then need to sell it. Many e-book authors, when
selling their creations, use an e-book sales page. An e-book
sales page is a page that outlines the e-book available for
sale, as well as its price. Although an e-book sales page is a
great way to advertise your e-book it won’t help you get sales
alone. You also need traffic. If your e-book sale page isn’t
seen, no one will know that you have an e-book available for
sale.
When it comes to generating traffic, to your e-book sales page,
you have a number of different options. For the best success,
you are urged to take an “organic,” approach. An organic
approach is one that is considered all natural, versus ones that
are forced or made up. An example of a non-organic marketing
approach is participating in a pay-per-click program. One of
the most popular types of organic internet marketing approaches
involves the use of articles, namely distributing them to
article directories. The use of an organic traffic increasing
tactic, like the use of articles, will not only help to increase
your traffic, but it will also keep you, your e-book, or your
business name in good standing. This is important because many
online sellers have started turning to back-hand marketing
techniques.
As it was mentioned above, the best ways to use articles to
generate organic traffic is by distributing them to article
directories. Article directories are websites that host a large
collection of articles. In exchange for allowing an article
directory to display your article on their site free of charge,
you will be rewarded with a link. That link is often referred to
as a back-link. If properly set up, readers who find your
articles in article directories will be able to make it to your
website. If you choose the right link, they can be directed
right to your e-book sales page! Essentially, this means that
you will not only increase your website traffic, but you may
also increase your e-book sales.
Although your best bet is to create articles and distribute them
to article directories, you may also want to think about
including content, or articles, on your own website. Whether
you have a whole e-book sales site or even just one simple web
page, you can get a large amount of traffic from internet search
engines, but only if your site is optimized for them. Search
engine optimization, which is often referred to as SEO,
encompasses a number of different things, but you may want to
focus on content, as it is one of the easiest methods. You will
want to have content on your website; content that search
engines will pick up.
When writing articles, whether you plan on using them for your
own e-book sales page or article directories, you are urged to
examine programs that are known as keyword research tools.
Keyword research tool programs allow you to determine what
keywords or keyword phrases internet users are searching with.
If any of these keywords apply to the subject of your e-book,
you are urged to use them. Using applicable keywords or keyword
phrases will not only generate organic traffic, but it may also
help to increase your sales, by brining in customers who are
interested in what you have to sell.
In short, articles, whether they are displayed on your own
e-books sales page or distributed to article directories, can
help you generate organic traffic. As previously mentioned,
organic traffic is more likely to result in a high number of
e-book sales. Organic traffic is all natural; therefore,
website visitors actually want to come to your e-book sales
page, not just because they are being paid to do so.

Before I write this, I want to say this: I get more than a 2000%
higher response rate from my article-generated subscriber list
than I do my Adwords-generated subscriber list.
If you have published over 100 articles and submitted them to
the right directories, you know what I am talking about. You
know that articles pull great subscribers.
You know there is a full time income involved in prolific
writing.
I am not writing to you.
I am writing to the person who has not written 100 articles
yet.
Just do it! Write 5 articles a day for 20 days, submit them
to the right article directories, and then you will begin to understand.
Here is how to do it:
1) Write 5 articles a day and include a link to your
squeeze page
2) Send the articles to the 5 biggest article directories online
3) Watch your traffic and subscribers grow. By the way, look me
up in Alexa. The bulk of that traffic is articles.
4) Track your article-generated traffic. Warning: you might
actually start making money online.
That is really all there is to it. I am currently writing between
10 and 20 articles per day, Monday through Friday, so don’t tell
me that 5 is too many. Don’t be lazy and complain you cannot make
money online.

FEATURE ARTICLE – 5 Simple Steps To Accepting Online Payments

When you’re selling things, you need people to be able to pay
you. Sure, they could send you cheques in the post, but that’s
not really convenient or scalable, is it? No, to do business on
the web, you need to be able to accept card payments
electronically – and, luckily for you, it’s never been easier.
Here’s the whole process, in five simple steps.
Step 1: Choose a Payment Service.
While you could get a merchant account and do your own card
processing, it isn’t usually worth it, unless you do an awful
lot of transactions. For most business, third-party payment
services are a better solution, and there are lots of services
out there that let you accept card payments for a small fee.
When you choose a payment service, then, the main things you
want to consider are the prices, and whether your customers will
trust it. You used to need to consider which services your
customers would have accounts with, but as most services now let
you accept payments from people who don’t have accounts with
them that’s not much of an issue any more.
Right now, the biggest general payment player is PayPal, and
they’re worth considering first, but you should be aware that
many businesses have had issues with PayPal freezing their
accounts and being slow to respond (see www.nopaypal.com for
more). StormPay (www.stormpay.com) is a decent general-purpose
PayPal alternative, and useful to keep around as a backup. You
might also like to check out more specific services, such as
AuctionCheckout (if you’re taking payments for auction items)
or ClickBank (non-physical products only, popular for ebook
sales).
Step 2: Create an Account.
The next step is to create an account at your chosen online
payment provider. This will require you to give out either your
personal name and address or a business name and address.
Depending on who you’re registering with, you may also need to
give out credit card or bank details. It almost goes without
saying that you shouldn’t give these details out to anyone
you’re not sure of – be suspicious of payment services that
you’ve found with a search but never actually seen in use.
Step 3: Get Verified.
Before you can receive any significant amount of money, most
payment providers require you to become ‘verified’ – this is
usually nothing more than the minimum they need to do to comply
with the law. If you haven’t been asked for your bank and
credit card details already, you will be at this point, and some
services will even ask you to fax them a photocopy of your
physical card, to prove you’re the real cardholder. Some
services will even cross-reference your phone number with your
address and then phone you up to make sure it really was you.
Don’t be too disturbed by all this: it’s all in the name of
security, and you’re not doing anything bad (or at least I hope
you’re not!).
Step 4: Add the Payment Button to Your Pages.
When it comes time to actually start accepting customers’ money
through the service, all you’ll need to do in most cases is add
some kind of button or image of a button to your sales page that
says ‘Pay Now’. The payment service will usually provide the
HTML for this, and a few tutorials to explain things like ways
to make sure that the correct amount shows up on the payment
page.
Step 5: Withdraw Often.
Whenever you’re dealing with electronic payments, the final
step is to withdraw every time you get an amount of money you
consider significant, and an absolute minimum of once per week.
There are all sorts of reasons for this, but the biggest one is
that online payment services aren’t anywhere near as strictly
regulated as other financial institutions, and aren’t under
that much of an obligation to give it to you in any timely
manner. You should consider any money left with them to be at
risk until it’s securely in your bank account. Besides, you
don’t want your money sitting there earning interest for them
instead of you, do you?
So, there you have it, 5 Simple steps to accepting payments

Many small businesses rely on third party processors or merchant
account providers to accept credit cards on the Web. But how do
you know who is the best processor for your business?
Clickbank
For a long time Clickbank was one of the most popular third party
processors on the Web. In order to sign up with Clickbank you
have to set up your Website to accept payments following their
guidelines. You will for example have to state that Clickbank is
responsible for processing payments. It usually takes up to three
business days to verify that a site is ready to accept payments via
Clickbank. Once this is achieved you can start accepting credit
card payments. Fortunately Clickbank offers low fees and an
affordable service for most people. Some people have complained
however that they have lost business because the company has
refused valid credit cards.
2Checkout
Another choice is 2Checkout. This company usually requires less
than 24 hours to set up payment processing. 2Checkout also
processes credit card payment for a low fee. The company doesn’t
provide you however with built in affiliate software. This means if you
have affiliates you can’t sign them up for service on the spot, they will
have to sign up and pay an activation fee.
Paypal
You can also try Paypal. Many online merchants prefer Paypal because
it accepts US and non-US businesses. Paypal is easy to sign up for.
It allows customers to pay using multiple credit cards. Paypal does
charge a slightly higher fee than other merchants. Paypal also provides
you a shopping cart you can place directly on your website.

FEATURE ARTICLE – What You Don’t Know About Using PLR Content – But Need To

Private Label Content (PLR) has been a hot topic in online
business over the last couple of years. As more opportunities
have emerged for people to make money with niche marketing,
so has the demand for affordable content.
PLR is the perfect solution!
If you’re not familiar with how PLR works, it is essentially a way
for multiple people to “share” content. Since they are all given
access to use or change the content, they pay significantly less.
You can then use that PLR as is and put your name on it as the
author. Or you can divide it up, add to it, combine it with other
content, create an audio product from it… the sky’s the limit!
The more creative you are, the more unique your resulting
product will be.
For online marketers, this can mean a savings of countless
hours of work over writing all of their content themselves. Or
thousands of dollars in outsourcing fees if they were to hire a
professional writer.
But before you get started using PLR to grow your business,
there are a few things that you need to keep in mind:
1. It’s important that you trust the source of the PLR
content – Not all PLR content is created equal. There are lots
of people publishing inferior content that no marketer in their
right mind would use.
Remember, once you put your name on the content, your
potential customers think that you wrote it. If it’s not well written,
informative and interesting you’ll make a bad impression. Even
if you’re just using the content on your website to improve search
engine rankings, it has to be good quality because prospects will
be reading it and judging you based on it.
2. The best use for PLR is not article site submissions –
Submitting articles to article directories can be a great promotion
strategy. And in the early days of PLR that is primarily how people
used the content. But the article directories have gotten smarter
and realized that multiple people are submitting the exact same
articles. This makes the directory look bad – so they’ve tightened
up their policies and no longer allow this.
But that’s alright, because that’s probably the worst use of PLR
content. It just makes you look bad if you’re publishing the exact
same article as someone else. Instead, smart marketers are using
PLR content to create their own unique products. Customers are
less likely to notice any overlap in the information if you do this well.
3. Combining PLR is the easiest way to use it – If you use a
piece of PLR content exactly as is, the odds are that you’ll be competing
directly with someone else who is offering the same product. However,
if you add other pieces of PLR content then you can create something
that is uniquely yours. You still don’t have to do any writing, yet you
have a product with different information then your competitors are offering.
PLR content truly is a great way to get the content you need for your
business. It’s affordable, easily accessible and flexible. Whether you
need content for your blog or want to create a complete product line,
PLR is the perfect choice!

What is a PLR product? PLR stands for private label rights. So a
PLR product is one that comes with private label rights. What are
private label rights? Private label rights allow you to take the source
file (usually a text file or Word file) and edit it, put your name on it,
and sell it as your own. You can do just about anything with PLR
products. You can resell the product as a PLR product. You can
change it some and sell it as your own. You can leave it as it is
and sell it as your own (not recommended). You can package
together several PLR products and sell them to other marketers.
Perhaps you have seen the countless PLR products available online,
and you have wondered how you too can make money with them.
If you have been on any of my lists for very long, you have probably
seen a few of my own PLR product offerings. Perhaps you have
purchased a PLR product from me.
I will tell you this: I have made money on every PLR offering I have
ever done. Some more than others.
I have made money when I have simply passed the PLR product
on to you. I have made money when I have gone in to the PLR
product, edited it to be a better product, and put another name on
it. I have made money when I have packaged several PLR products
together and sold them to you so that you can offer the PLR products
to your list.
The bottom line is, I have made money, and you can too.
Why do I want to share this information with you?
Because I am greedy. You see, I know that if you see how you can
make money with PLR products, that you will buy some PLR products.
Now, I realize that there are many PLR vendors online. You can buy
your PLR products from whomever you wish.
But my hope is that by teaching you to make money on PLR products,
you will buy PLR products regularly, and I hope you will buy them from
me. That’s it. I simply want you to buy them from me. But if you don’t,

Have you recently created an e-book? If so, do you plan on
selling that e-book? If you are interested in profiting from
your latest creation, you can do so, but you may need a little
bit of assistance. To make money, you need to rely on internet
sales. The only problem is that to have internet sales, your
product needs to be seen and known about. Unfortunately, there
are many e-book authors who believe that this is too hard of a
task. While it may be difficult at times, there are a number of
easy ways that you can go about having your e-book successfully
promoted.
Before examining how you can promote your e-book, it is first
important to touch on the ever so popular question, “why?” When
selling a product, including an e-book, this is a question that
shouldn’t even be asked, but it still is. Promotion is
important when it comes to selling an e-book or even any other
product for that matter. If you do not advertise or promote
your product, consumers will not even know that it exists.
Something can’t be purchased if no one knows that it is
available for sale. Promotion is also important because, if
properly implemented, it gets people talking; it creates a
“buzz.”
One of the easiest ways that you can go about finding people to
help you promote your e-book is by using the internet. After
all, that is where your e-book will be sold. One of the
approaches that you can take is by visiting online message
boards or forums. There are a large number of internet users who
are also looking for help, when it comes to selling a product or
a service. You could do a link exchange. A link exchange is
when two individuals agree to help each other promote their
products. For obvious reasons though, you will want to make
sure that you do not help to promote a product that could be
considered your competition.
Speaking of online message boards and forums, you can do your
own promoting when searching for someone to help you. A large
number of message boards and forums allow members to create a
signature. Many posters use a signature to display their
favorite quotes or song lyrics, but most use it to promote their
business or products; you can also do the same. For instance,
if you are selling an e-book on pet care, you can have a catchy
signature line and a link to your e-book sales pages. This
concept works great, especially if you are on a forum that is
related to the topic of your e-book, like a pet lover’s forum.
You may also be able to find other posters who are willing to
promote your e-book in their signature lines too.
In conjunction with using online message boards or forums to
find people who are willing to promote your product, you can
also use standard internet searches. You will want to search
for websites that are, in one way or another, related to the
content of your website. A large number of webmaster may do a
link exchange, but others may want you to pay a small amount of
money for an advertising slot. Even if you must pay for
advertising, it will likely be worth it, especially if you find
a popular, high traffic website.
As an act of kindness, you may want to provide other internet
users with incentives for helping you promote your e-book,
especially if you are looking to have this help without paying
for it. A popular incentive, as mentioned above, is a link
exchange. In addition to a link exchange, you may even want to
give your promotional assistants a free copy of your e-book. In
fact, you may even be asked for a free copy. This is actually
quite common as many individuals want to know exactly what they
are helping to promote.
