Six of the most common and easy solutions are given below. It’s simple to implement.

#1. *The HOTMAIL User*: You can ‘Safe List’ an email ID in hotmail. Here’s how:

1. Choose the ‘Options’ tab from the top
2. Select ‘Safe List’ ( Given under the head -Mail Handling-)
3. Now type the email address that you want messages to be received without filtering in the one line form.
4. Now choose ‘Add’

#2 *The AOL User*: Place an email ID in the ‘Address Book’ in AOL. Here’s how:

1. Go to Keyword Mail Controls
2. Select the screen name to which the newsletter is send (e.g. “HomeBiz Tip E-Mag”)
3. Now choose ‘Customize Mail Controls’ For This Screen Name
4. For AOL v7.0, include in the section: “exclusion and inclusion parameters”, the domains from which email is send. For e.g. @learnhomebusiness.com, @learnhomebusiness.net. For AOL v8.0, choose “Allow email from all AOL members, email addre^sses and domains”
5. Choose ‘Next’.
6. Choose “Save” displayed at the bottom.

Important Note On AOL 9.0 : AOL 9.0 has become more complicated. The best way is to place an email ID to the “Person I know” buddy list. All mail you receive from this email ID will pass through the filters. So, make sure that when you join for a newsletter, it is ADDED to your buddy list.

#3 *The YAHOO User*: Correct the ‘Bulk’ Folder in your Yahoo. Here’s how:

1. Newsletters gets mistakenly filtered to your Yahoo ‘Bulk’ folder. Go to your ‘Bulk’ folder; locate the filtered newsletter and choose, “this is not S^pam”, next to the “From” field.

Also, to ensure that you do not miss on important emails to your Yahoo Inbox, do these steps:

1. Open your Yahoo mailbox
2. Choose ‘Mail Options’ (Given at the right corner)
3. Choose ‘Filters’
4. Choose ‘Add ‘ button.
5. Now, in the top row – From header: Choose ‘contains’.
6. Type the domain from which the newsletter is sent. For e.g. learnhomebusiness.com
7. Finally, at the bottom -Move the message to: Choose Inbox.
8. Choose ‘Add Filter’ button.

#4. *For OTHER Users*: Meant for email programs like Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and Netscape Mail. Here’s how:

Inform your ISP or the person responsible for your email that you want to receive all communications from a particular domain.

For e.g. a member of http://www.learnhomebusiness.com, asks them to white-list the eZine “HomeBiz Tips-EMag’ so that he can continue to receive our Zero-cost products without a break.

#5. *For Own Filter Software*: Many times the filter software installed in the computer is the culprit. Here’s how to prevent it.

Look for “Options” in the filter software that you have installed in your computer. Then give permissions for all emails from a particular email ID or domain.

#6. *Two Additional Tips To Prevent Loosing Important Emails*:

Tip #1 : You may be currently receiving all your email messages without a hitch. But, it’s still advisable to white-list and prevent future problems.

Tip #2 : No matter what the email system you are currently using, add the email ID of your opt-in Newsletters’ to the ‘Address Book’ of your particular email system.

Currently, white-listing is the ONLY way to ensure that you receive all your important emails. Do not ignore this important aspect of email communication.

From a personal angle, the major chunk of what I learned so far is from small, nifty newsletters that arrives in my mail box with a welcome smile. I can never block these little capsules of vital info.

Do you know how to make money on Craigslist?  Craigslist is the world’s largest and best classified site.  And the best part is that almost all of the classified ads on Craigslist are free.

Craigslist started out as a simple email list that Craig Newmark sent to friends in the San Francisco bay area.  At first it was a list of the weekend’s parties and events.  As his personal list of recipients grew, people began asking him to list a roommate vacancy or a job opening.

Eventually, he decided to put the list online and let anyone post to it.  At first, the site was only for San Francisco area users.  But in 2000, they set up separate listings for Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Portland (OR), San Diego, Seattle, Washington DC, and Sacramento.

The site currently has more than 550 cities in 50 countries around the world.

Craigslist gets 12 billion page views a month and is the world’s 8th most popular English language website.

Knowing this, do you think you could make money on Craigslist?

Well, you need to keep in mind that Craigslist has an internal culture that isn’t overly friendly to internet marketing sales.  In fact, the official url is www.Craigslist.org with the .org reflecting the company’s “relatively noncommercial nature.”  There is a sense that it’s okay to list your couch for sale but not an ebook.

Still, internet marketers have found ways to make money on Craigslist.

There are several sections to Craigslist including community, housing, jobs, for sale, and services.  Craigslist asks that you post internet marketing opportunities in the appropriate services section.  For instance, a debt consolidation offer should go in the Financial Services section.

Not all marketers agree with the Craigslist guidelines and they post to other sections at their own risk.  For instance, you can create ads for ebooks and place them in the books for sale section or give away subscriptions to your free newsletter in the free section.

Many people promote affiliate marketing and other internet business opportunities in the jobs section.  This can be risky as these ads often get flagged.  If you get flagged too many times you can lose your rights to post to Craigslist.

The most visited cities are posted under “US Cities” on the right hand side of the screen.  San Francisco is, by far, the most visited page on the site.  If you want to get your web site indexed quickly, make a post to the San Francisco page.

You can make money on Craigslist if you use the world’s largest and best classified site wisely.

Many business owners tend to overlook one of the best, free methods of internet marketing promotion available to them—writing articles. If you’re shrugging and thinking that you’re not a writer so you couldn’t possibly promote yourself in that way, take heart. You don’t have to be a writer.  As long as you know your subject and can explain it in a reasonable way, you’re capable of marketing yourself with articles.

Internet marketing promotion is the key to your online business’ success, so you want to use every resource available to you.  And articles are powerful little tools in getting your business in front of people who are interested in what you have to say. It’s very easy to get started.

Think about article topics that relate to your business.  What services do you offer, or what products do you sell?  If you sell pet items, any article about any aspect of pet ownership is a possibility.  If you sell voice recognition software, then an article about how disability affects computer use or how dictating a novel while doing other things with your hands can allow you to get more done might be a good choice.  Anything relating to your main business focus is a good possibility.

You’re going to get very specific with your internet marketing promotion very soon, but for right now take one or two topics you’ve come up with an actually write about them.  You’ll want to aim for an article of 400 to 450 words, depending on the minimum of the depository like EzineArticles.com that you’re aiming it for. Just convey your knowledge on the subject, and write like you talk.  After you’ve done a couple, it will get easier.

You want your internet marketing promotion to look as good as everyone else, so spell check your work and proofread it for errors. Add a brief author note at the bottom along with your link. Then submit the articles.  Now that you’ve had a little practice, find an online keyword tool like the one Google offers for free, and think of some keywords that relate to your business.

If you own a gardening center, then “growing roses” or “when to mulch” might be possibilities.  Use the tool to find popular keywords that don’t have thousands of websites already catering to them.

The next step in your article internet marketing promotion is to pick a few keyword phrases and write articles based around those. Use the phrase in the title if possible, and 4 or 5 times throughout the article.  This makes it more likely that when someone searches on that phrase, your article will show up high in the listings. Then when they read the article, they find your link at the bottom.

If you’re truly intimidated by writing articles, you can always hire someone to do it for you at a reasonable rate.  But it could become something you enjoy doing. Articles filled with good content can be a fun way to expand your internet marketing promotion efforts.

Although producing and disturbing a large number of articles is
your best chance of success with article directories, you also

Windows Selective Startup:

Improve overall system performance and boot time
and get rid of programs you don’t want running in
the background by choosing to do a Selective Startup
in msconfig.

1. Click Start, Run and type: msconfig and press enter.
2. In the System Configuration Utility click the Startup tab.
3. Uncheck programs you do not wish to load each time your
computer starts. Once done click ok and restart the computer.
After the computer boots back into Windows you will receive
a prompt about Windows being in a selective startup. Check
the box to not receive the prompt and click ok.
