Autoresponders

An autoresponder is simply a way to send mutiple e-mails to someone (1, 2 , 10, 50, 365) in a sequence. There are many, many uses. You can use it to simply send someone an e-mail stating that you will respond within 24 hours… or you can use it to provide an eCourse over a number of days.

You can use it to follow up with a customer or provide a newsletter… or send someone a download link!

The possibilities are endless…

They are usually very easy to set up and use… It’s totally automated.

There are a bunch of autoresponders out there; some free… depends what kind of bells & whistles you need.

The BIGGEST benefit you get with an autoresponder is the time savings. You enter the sequence of e-mails once and then it doesn’t matter how many people come to your website and fill out that form to get them. You’re done and just reap the rewards of a one time effort!

I use aWeber.com. It’s my Autoresponder of choice. It’s actually much more then just an autoresponder. I use it for all my list building activities!

Some of the main features to look out for are:

  • You should be able to get unlimited autoresponders. You can create as many autoresponders as you want and use each one for different purposes.
  • There should be instant delivery. The person that filled out the form should get an e-mail within a minute!
  • The number of follow ups you are able to send can very. You can find a service that let’s you set up more that 365!
  • Many if not all will let you create whatever message length you want.
  • All of them should give you the ability to make as many changes as you want to your e-mails once you’re set up.
  • You will get an administration panel where you can log in and manage your account.
  • The personalization and customization abilities will very. Some have more bells and whistles than others.
  • You can even track your campaigns. See how effective one is over another.
  • And you’ll always have access to your database of email addresses. You can add, remove or change you addresses anytime.
  • You might even be able to manage the bounces and have it automatically remove them if you want.
  • There are other features, but those are some of the main ones to look out for.

OR if you want a freebie:

FreeAutobot.com - I think they just require a link to them at the bottom of each e-mail; no adverts…

    FreebieList.com - list of some more…

Once you sign up for one of these, it should be real easy to set up. Normally you’ll just get some code to put on your website that will produce a form for people to enter their info and automatically be entered into your sequence.

If you need any further help, just let me know!
