Submitting To Article Directories

Are you looking to increase the amount of traffic that your
website sees? If you rely on your website for income, there is a
good chance that you are. If you are unfamiliar with internet
marketing, you may have done a little bit of online research.
While researching internet marke*ting, there is a good chance
that you came across article directories. Article directories
are essentially online websites that display content, often with
links. These links should link rea*ders directly to your website,
whether it be an online store or a content site. When it comes
to article directories, one of the most common questions asked
is “is it worth the time?” In all honesty, it depends.

Submitting articles to article directories is a great way to
increase traffi*c to your website, but it all depends on the
approach that you take. If you are looking to benefit from
submitting articles to article directories, there are a number
of important factors that you will want to take into
consideration. These factors, which are outlined below, may have
a significant impact on the amount of traffic that your website
sees from article distribution.

As it was mentioned above, article directories are essentially
websites that display a collection of content. That content,
which is accompanied by links, is often placed into specific
categories, such as parenting, money, business, and so on. As
article distribution has increased in popularity, so have
article directories. This means that it is possible to find
hundred of article directories that are willing to accept your
articles and have them displayed on their site. While your
first impulse may be to submit your articles to every article
directory that you can find, you may want to reexamine your
decision to do so, as it can be time consuming. In fact, it may
be a good idea to research article directories, find, and submit
articles to the directories that are considered the most popular
or those that come highly rated and recommend.

It is also important that you examine how often you submit
content. As with your website, you are urged to update it often
or at least a*dd new content to it. After all, it is a known
fact that internet users like to see new, refreshed content.
The same can be said for the articles that you submit to article
directories. You will want to develop a schedule. Submitting
new articles to article directories a couple of times a week is
a good goal to have. In fact, the more you can submit, the
better the results are likely to be. The more articles that you
have distributed across the internet, the more links you will
have. This, in turn, will increase your chances of seeing your
website’s traffic increase.

Although producing and disturbing a large number of articles is
your best chance of success with article directories, you also
want to examine the content that you are submitting. It is
extremely important that your content is interesting, rea*dable,
and presentable. That is why it is important that you do not
rush when creating articles. In fact, it may be a good idea to
proofrea*d your articles multiple times, before distributing them
online. It is also a*dvised that you view your articles, once
they have been published online. Most article directories will
allow you to post links to your websites at the end of your
article page. For article directories to work to your benefit,
you need to make sure that rea*ders make it to the end of your
article. This is why interesting and rea*dable articles are
vital to your success.

As long as you keep the above mentioned points in mind, you
should be able to benefit from submitting to article

Windows Selective Startup:

Improve overall system performance and boot time
and get rid of programs you don’t want running in
the background by choosing to do a Selective Startup
in msconfig.

1. Click Start, Run and type: msconfig and press enter.
2. In the System Configuration Utility click the Startup tab.
3. Uncheck programs you do not wish to load each time your
computer starts. Once done click ok and restart the computer.
After the computer boots back into Windows you will receive
a prompt about Windows being in a selective startup. Check
the box to not receive the prompt and click ok.

Advertising Your Blog on Other Websites for Free: How
You Can Take Advantage of a No-Cost Strategy

There are several ways you can advertise your blog on
other websites without paying a single cent. The trick
is to find these channels and determine which ones
will work for you. Here are just a few techniques you
can use:

Advertise on other blogs. You could build a reciprocal
relationship with other bloggers, particularly those
whose content are related (but not necessarily
similar) to yours. If your blog is about gadget and
industry news, for example, you could advertise it for
free on another blog that offers gadget reviews.

By becoming partners with a non-competitor, you take
advantage of his market for the right type of exposure
without alienating anyone. It’s fair, it works and
it’s for free.

Use social media. Social media revolutionized many
aspects of the Internet, particularly because it
presents a new way of communicating and sharing
information. It broke many barriers, allowing people
from across the globe to build and join networks, both
for personal and business purposes.

Social media are sites that can be used to advertise
your blogs for free. Nearly all types of businesses
that exist on the Internet use social media for
promotional activities. The demographics here are
clearly defined, people can communicate in a more
personal manner and since social media is an accepted
platform for marketing, people who read your ads
regarding your blog are more likely to be receptive to
it. Best of all, advertising your blog on these
websites is free.

Use a network. To build buzz and gain momentum in the
blog universe, you need support from likeminded
individuals. Bloggers don’t really advertise
themselves actively against other bloggers. Instead,
they compete with one another by ensuring they have
better content and easier to use sites.

Although simply maintaining a good blog will help
attract other blogs wishing to link up with you, you
might also want to actively pursue associations with
other popular blogs. Many of the best bloggers around
are generous enough to give you a bit of support and
will gladly mention your blog in one of their posts.
Best of all, a network helps you increase your reach
for the same amount of effort.

Use article databases. Article databases are
repositories of write-ups that bloggers and site
owners use. If you choose this route, know that this
is a rather indirect way of promoting your blog. It is
quite effective nonetheless, particularly if you want
to build buzz regarding your ability to provide useful
information.

Try to search out a specific topic online and chances
are, you will find an article written by blogger in an
article database. Read this article. At the end, you
will notice that the blogger had included his/her
name, a short description of himself, what he does,
the name of his company and a link back to his site.

Sometimes, a blogger might even include a few links to
some of his write-ups within the text of the article.
This is to entice the reader to click on the link and
find related information on the writer’s blog. Using
links in this manner allows you to advertise your blog
for free on a separate website.

There’s no cost involved here, particularly if you
wrote the article and performed the submission
yourself. If you prefer to spend a little bit, you
could also use copywriting and submission services for
a reasonable cost. While this isn’t free advertising
for your blog, you still get to expand your presence
using another website.

A lot of people are now getting into online businesses and
online marketing either to supplement their “real world”
income or for it to become their primary source of income.
Why? Because online marketing just provides them a lot of benefits!

First, you can reach just about anybody in the world who has
Internet access if you market your products online.  That means a
wider market for you, which can translate to larger profits.
Second, setting up an online business requires only a fraction
of the cost required to set up an actual business establishment,
which means a lot of savings for the business owner.

Another aspect that has attracted a lot of people towards online
marketing is the fact that one doesn’t have to have his own products
to get started.  In online marketing, one can start making a lot
of money just by selling, or even by just trying to sell, other
people’s products.  And getting started with this kind of marketing
strategy is actually quite easy.  All that one needs to do is to
set up an agreement with an online retailer or merchant, and after
everything is settled, one can immediately start making money by
selling the merchant’s or the retailer’s products.

Incidentally, the most popular and the fastest growing method
of selling other people’s products online is affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing, in its simplest definition, is a relationship
between an online merchant or retailer, who has products to sell,
and his affiliates, who are willing to promote the merchant’s
product on their website.

In a typical affiliate marketing set up, the merchant provides
his affiliates with banners and text ads that links to his site.
The affiliates will then get these ads posted on their website and
they get paid whenever traffic or sales is directed to the
merchant’s website.  Affiliates are often paid on commission basis,
although other online merchants would opt to pay a fixed fee for the
affiliate’s compensation.

Starting to make money online with affiliate marketing is relatively
quick and easy.  All that one has to do is to sign up as an
affiliate for an online company that offers affiliate programs.  An
alternative method, and usually an easier one, is to sign up as a
member of an affiliate network–a network that hosts a variety of
affiliate programs for different online merchants or retailers.
Signing up is usually free, although other companies and networks
may require you to pay a particular fee.  Such fees, however, are
made as payment for additional services that the company may render,
like providing you with tools and assistance to jumpstart your
online business.

When you sign up with an affiliate marketing program, you are
usually required to fill out a form containing information about
yourself.  Some affiliate programs may also require you to present
the URL of your website and describe its contents.  This will allow
the retailers to verify that you actually have a website with
contents that are relevant to their products.  Some affiliate
programs, however, won’t require you to have a website.  After
filling out the form and all, you are then allowed to choose the
affiliate programs you want to promote.

After signing up with an affiliate program and being an actual
affiliate, you are now ready to start making a lot of money by
selling other people’s product online.  How do you make money?
There are actually a number of ways for you to earn money as an
affiliate, and most of these ways depends on the type of affiliate
marketing program you’ve gotten into.

Many affiliate marketing programs compensate their affiliates in
either of three ways: pay-per-click (PPC), pay-per-sale (PPS), or
pay-per-lead (PPL).  In pay-per-click affiliate marketing, the
affiliate is paid whenever he directs traffic to the merchant’s site.
PPS and PPL affiliate marketing programs work rather differently.
In PPS, the affiliate only gets paid when his referral converts into
an actual sale.  In typical PPS affiliate programs, the affiliate
would usually get 15% to 20% commission for each conversion.  PPL
affiliate programs work the same way, although affiliates are paid a
fixed fee whenever his referral converts into a lead for the company.

Some affiliate marketing programs are two-tier programs, wherein the
affiliate is also allowed to recommend other affiliates to the
merchant. In such affiliate programs, the affiliate would not only
be paid for the traffic or sales that he would direct to the
merchant’s site but also for the traffic or sales directed by the
affiliates who signed up with the program through his recommendation.

Yet another way of earning more profits with affiliate marketing is
through residual affiliate programs.  Residual affiliate programs
are affiliate programs where the affiliate gets paid a number of
times for as long as the merchant keeps the customer the affiliate
has referred to his site.  One form of residual program gets the
affiliate paid a commission every time the referred customer
purchases something on the merchant’s site. Another form of residual
affiliate program gets the affiliate paid a percentage every month
for as long as the company keeps the referred customer.

With a lot of options available and a lot of ways to earn money,
affiliate marketing is undoubtedly the most popular and the easiest
way to make money by selling other people’s products online.  As to
how much money one can get from affiliate marketing actually depends
on the affiliate.  A dedicated and hardworking affiliate would
certainly get more from the program compared to those affiliates who
would simply sign up and forget about the program later.
